standing Exercise

Lateral Trunk Bend

Lateral Trunk Bend
Targets: Anterior Deltoids, Shoulder Mobility

1 "Arms upward, Left leg sideward—ONE!" Simultaneously snap arms straight overhead (palms facing) and jump or step the left leg out to the side. Keep the left toe pointed forward.
2 "Bend to the Left—TWO!" Keeping both arms locked and parallel to the ears, bend the trunk directly to the left side. Do not lean forward or backward. Feel the stretch on the right side.
3 "Raise Straight, Leg in—THREE!" Return the trunk to the center vertical position and snap the left leg back to the center so the feet are together. Arms remain overhead.
4 "Position of Attention—FOUR!" Snap both arms down to the sides instantly. Return to the standard standing attention stance with eyes fixed forward.
