standing Exercise
Side Lateral Extensions
Targets: Anterior Deltoids, Shoulder Mobility
1 "Arms forward—ONE!" Snap both arms straight out in front. They must be perfectly horizontal and parallel. Palms face each other, fingers together, and thumbs tucked.
2 "Arms upward—TWO!" Swing the arms up until they are vertical. The arms should be in line with the ears. Palms remain facing each other. Do not lean back; stay perfectly upright.
3 "Arms forward—THREE!" Bring the arms back down to the shoulder-height position. Stop the movement abruptly so there is no shaking or "bobbing" of the hands.
4 "Position of attention—FOUR!" Drop the arms quickly to the sides.
